Driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge, Pumpkin firmly believes that the path to power and self-improvement lies in the acquisition of knowledge and understanding. That’s why she eagerly jumps at any given chance to learn something new. To her, knowledge is not just a means to an end; it is a lifelong journey that fuels her personal growth. Especially her personal quest of learning about her heritage has been dominating her thoughts and actions ever since she was a child. This deep-seated desire, as well as her general curiosity, fuel her everlasting determination. She is more than willing to explore far and wide, to overcome obstacles and to face unknown dangers in pursuits of new knowledge. However, the promise of new insights might also divert her attention for a little while, as Pumpkin is rather susceptible to distractions when interesting topics are involved. In general, Pumpkin's indecisiveness occasionally hinders her progress, as she carefully weighs options and explores every angle before making choices. Agatha, a seasoned hag, had devoted herself to raising Pumpkin, shielding her from the harsh judgments and rejection that awaited her outside.Pumpkin had led a sheltered life, surrounded by the enchanting beauty of the forest. She had never known rejection or judgement, for she did not possess the ability to see her own reflection. Unaware of her unique appearance, Pumpkin happily embraced her magical studies under her mother's tutelage. The days were filled with laughter and learning as the bond between mother and daughter grew stronger.One day, while exploring the woods, Pumpkin stumbled upon two children. Excitement sparkled in her eyes as she eagerly approached them, hoping to make new friends. But to her surprise, the children gasped in fear at the sight of her. They called her a monster and ran away, leaving Pumpkin bewildered and heartbroken.Tears streamed down her face as she rushed back to her mother, seeking comfort and understanding. Agatha embraced her tightly, her heart breaking for her beloved daughter. With great sadness, she explained the truth. Pumpkin's father was a devil, which explained her unique appearance. Disillusioned, Pumpkin decided to leave them behind and continue her journey alone.Determined to find a place where she could be accepted for who she truly was, Pumpkin set her sights on Darbek, a city known for its embrace of equality. She believed that in such a place, she might find the help that she needed on her quest. In Darbek, the witch crossed paths with a compassionate soul named Aiden, who quickly became her trusted companion and guide.And so, Darbek became a new starting point for Pumpkin. The city offered a chance for her to rebuild her life and seek answers to her questions. But in the end, Agatha only wants for Pumpkin to live a happy life - preferably in the Godswood with her.Aiden Starweaver.
A witch in their early thirties who came from Ekreles to Darbek because of a prophecy. Aiden diligently lives by the tenets of The Blind One. They share their love for magic and thirst for knowledge with Pumpkin, something that they quickly bonded over after serendipity brought them together in Darbek. Aiden often jokes that meeting Pumpkin must have been the fateful event that led them to the city. As a sign of their close bond, Aiden and Pumpkin have exchanged their true names with each other.

Caleb Frostbloom.
A human cleric of The Chimera in their mid-twenties who encountered Pumpkin during a pilgrimage with Ruby. Caleb’s and Pumpkin’s dislike towards each other stems from a complex web of emotions and misunderstandings. In the end, it was the clash of their core values that caused their falling out. Caleb is also a little bit jealous of Pumpkin for having grown quite close with Ruby during their time together, especially since Ruby still brings her up in conversations once in a while.
